French electronic producer heylucas (formerly Luca) enters a new era with his highly anticipated debut album, "hey."
After a string of acclaimed singles throughout 2024 and 2025, "hey" marks a turning point in his artistic journey. Following his first live performance in late 2024, which sparked considerable interest, it became clear that Luca was no longer just a bedroom producer, but a genuine artist. This shift inspired Luca's rebrand to heylucas, embracing a broader vision for his music. This career shift is all the more significant as he has just announced his very first solo show at POPUP! in Paris on May 24th.
"hey" is a deeply personal collection of emotions: the highs and lows, the joy of loved ones, the grief of loss, and the excitement of firsts. From moments of euphoria to instances of introspection, the album reflects the range of experiences the artist lived through during this transformative year. Singles like "do the things that bring joy," "either it goes well, or it passes," and "keep dancing" are the perfect example of this and shape his sonic signature: sincere, upbeat tracks that make you want to move and reflect at the same time.
"Do It All Again" made in collaboration with the Swedish duo HNE, features fragments of voices gathered during real-life encounters in the final months of making the album, blended into an energetic, euphoric production. The album's release will be paired with the release of an exclusive heylucas live session, in which he will reinterpret classics from his catalog as well as new tracks from his album "hey". More than an album, hey is a statement. It's how heylucas greets listeners, viewers, and everyone who connects with the emotions he pours into his music.
